Here comes baby! The baby has dropped, which gives me sweet relief to breath and such, and gives Danny excitement that this baby is really coming soon. I am at 37 weeks, 40 weeks is full term, so this cooked turkey could come whenever he or she wants too (in the next 3-5 weeks! Lets hope for in the next 3 weeks!). We are now clear to birth at Sutter, the maternity or birthing center. We are lucky to have such a place in our community and only 5 minutes from our house! It is a much smaller facility with only 10 rooms and all the safety of a hospital. It is like a free standing mini-maternity ward. We are so excited to be going there since we have taken all our preparation classes there.
Danny and I still have no real solid intuition as to what it is, although this week it is boy for sure. =) We also are much more decided on boys names, (Kieran or Griffin) so it must be a sign right?
We are going in to the Doctor and Midwife every week now and organizing the house like crazy. Yoga has become essential to my being able to move at all these days!
Over the past few weeks we have been able to see so many of you precious gems for baby showers, it has been such a treat. Thanks again to everyone for making your way and for all the fabulous baby stuff we received. With all the gift cards, we will be able to buy the breast pump we need, which is awesome! Thank you you a million times over!!!
Here are some pictures of the belly in California's January. Yes, comfortably at the beach in a bathing suit for 4 days in a row. Although it is going to rain today, we always get this weird January blip of amazing weather. Danny and I have been out there enjoying it everyday, him surfing and me rolling slowly around the beach.
It has been such a blessing to be able to be home in these last pre-parenthood days. I highly recommend it to all my friends who are thinking of mommy-hood in the future. Danny and I have been able to relax together and enjoy all the little moments in life.
Well, there is more to come and orange you glad this baby is almost here?
Keep in touch and we will send an email and text as soon as the little one makes their grand debut!
